FRANZ FERDINAND have teased the forthcoming release of new music with a brief snippet.

Just hours removed from a warmly received secret show at The Rum Shack in Glasgow, the much-loved indie rock stalwarts have provided an insight into what is to be their first new track since they contributed the Donald Trump-bating ‘Demagogue’ to the ’30 Days Project’ last year.

Captioned simply ‘ARE YOU READY?’, the short clip hints towards a striking and very danceable composition that should be arriving in the not too distant future.

Harking back to the sound of disco yet with a futuristic overtone, the prominence of this influence in their sound and a new approach comes as no surprise following the band rejigging their line-up to include Dino Bardot and Julian Corrie in the wake of Nick McCarthy’s departure.

Unveiled via their Twitter account, the video hints towards the arrival of the track in full this Wednesday 25th October. Check it out below:
