new George Harrison tribute album has been announced which will celebrate the musician’s storied career.

Featuring tracks from both his time with The Beatles and his illustrious solo endeavours, the album is a document of ‘George Fest; A Night To Celebrate The Music Of George Harrison’, a one off concert which took place in Los Angeles and saw a slew of prominent artists perform in honour of the late musician.

Featuring guests such as The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame and many more, Harrison’s son Dhani has said of the collection:

“”I’ve always imagined a small club show where my generation of musicians could cut loose on some of the deeper tracks from his career… So, in a totally new and vibrant way, I once again found myself taking the stage with some of my most treasured musical heroes to the sound of the most familiar music in my life… I hope you enjoy listening to these as much as I do. They are some of the best interpretations of my father’s songs I could have ever thought possible.”

The album will be released on the 26th February.
