TAKING over Brighton from the 12th – 15th of May 2021, The Great Escape have announced the first 50 acts for next year’s festival, alongside the lineup for the ‘The Road to The Great Escape’ in Glasgow and Dublin.

The first batch of acts includes some of the most hotly-tipped artists such as Arlo Parks, Holly Humberstone, BERWYN, Pa Salieu and AMA.

Kicking off the 2021 festival season with its belated 15th anniversary edition, The Great Escape is pulling out all the stops with a cutting-edge line-up and playing host to more than 450 of the world’s most exciting up and coming artists.  With more than 400 acts, including the highly anticipated Spotlight shows, still to be announced, there’s much more to come for The Great Escape 2021, including a huge programme of industry events panels. The Road to The Great Escape, also announced today, brings the first acts to play the brand new live music showcase that will be stopping off in Glasgow on the 8th and 9th of May, and Dublin on the 10th and 11th. Artists making appearances in both locations includes Scottish singer-songwriter Aaron Smith, R&B singer and rapper BERWYN, Baby Queen, indie guru Oscar Lang, Remi Wolf, punk troupe Chubby and the Gang an most. Glasgow will see exclusive performances by Lizzie Reid and Walt Disco.

Despite uncertainty around live events during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Great Escape remain confident that a full capacity event can be achieved thanks to developments in vaccines and mass testing trials.
