AN incredible showing of local talent will face an immense judging panel in the Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow on April 1st.

Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow is shining the spotlight on the brightest up-and-coming musicians in Glasgow as round two of the restaurant brand’s Battle of the Bands competition kicks off, as the global search for aspiring artists heats up even more. Following the submission round, which began in December, the local team have selected The Asuras, Sara ‘N’ Junbug, Chris Greig & The Merchants as the bands representing the region and will perform live at Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow.

Hosted by Jim Gellatly, the judging panel is mate up of Heart Radio Presenter Lynne Hoggan, local musician Morgan Woods (Emme Woods) and Kieren Webster, bass-player and songwriter from one of Scotland’s best-loved bands of the 21st century, The View.

Ken Blaustein, Director of Music and Artist Relations for Hard Rock said, “Hard Rock is privileged to play a role in launching these deserving artists’ musical careers. We proudly open our stage in Glasgow to showcase these emerging musicians, DJ’s and artists, and encourage local fans to come out and show their support as well.”

The global search for the winner this year is stretching from Nashville to Moscow, Seattle to Sydney, with the top three bands becoming finalists, bagging $15,000 cash, an all-expenses paid trip to New York City to perform at Hard Rock Cafe New York in front of leading music industry executives.
