HECTOR Bizerk have announced new releases for 2016 including a solo record from frontman Louie which will take place on 31st January in Mono Glasgow at Pronto Mama’s new monthly event ‘Beatnik Retreat’.
The band will also collectively release a LP in 2016, which will be launched at a show in Glasgow on 22nd April at The Art School. Further launch dates have been announced, scroll down for full details.
The release of Louie’s solo record The Elephant in the Womb will come alongside a book of which ten copies will be up for grabs for fans to win by telling the band their Hector highlight of 2015.
Louie commented: “Sincerest thanks to everyone who has came on this rickety journey with us thus far. Let’s keep moving together into 2016.”
Posting on Facebook Louie continued: “No matter what happens in the near future, I would like everyone to know that I feel truly blessed to do this job surrounded by people I love and respect. The band have had a pretty impressive 2015 with a 9.5 album rating from TTV, a great performance at T in the Park, a massive headline show at Oran Mor in Glasgow, support slot with The Libertines on their Glasgow and London dates (although The Libertines failed to show at the Camden leg), a trip to Transmusicales festival in Rennes, France among the highs. The band also landed in our top tracks and top records of 2015 list.
