HECTOR BIZERKHECTOR BIZERK have announced the band have split after five years, revealing the sad news on their social media.

The Glasgow hip-hop outfit played the first ever Tenement Trail in 2013, going on to play the T Break stage that same year and counting support slots with The Libertines and playing festivals including SXSW in their career highlights.

The band posted: “Over the past six months I have tried my damnedest to make it work, but personal issues have defeated us and it is time to move on.” Frontman Louie, who signed the post, continued: “I have dedicated everything to this band. I wanted to create something that could change perspectives. I feel like we have achieved that together. Eternal gratitude to Jennifer, Fraser, David, Paul, Tom, Pearl, Ibrahim and Audrey. You are incredible artists and beautiful people. It was a pleasure to share all of this with you. “Special thanks to Adrian and Cara for all your endeavour and guidance, and to our spiritual home Paul’s Halls Studios. It’s nothing but hip-hop.”

Declaring that the band are set to announce one final Glasgow headline show in the near future, Hector Bizerk will play Kelvingrove Park Bandstand on 12th August, Robert Burns Birthplace Museum on 20th August, Doune the Rabbit Hole on 21st August, Bathgate Live on 3rd September and Troon Townhall- 10th September.
