iggypopIGGY POP’S previous claims of retirement may have been premature as he has recently revealed that’s he’s ventured back into the studio.

With fans widely accepting that the 69 year old legend’s star-studded Post Pop Depression from earlier this year would be the final recorded chapter in his storied career, promotional interviews for Jim Jarmusch’s Stooges documentary ‘Gimme Danger’ have revealed that he hasn’t shied away from requests to provide his vocals to new music,

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Iggy stated that “I’ve made five recordings since then,” he says. “But they were all recordings not where I’m about, ‘Hey, I’ve got something to say!’ No, it was just, people called me up and said, ‘Do you want to do a vocal with me, about this, under this circumstance?’ More like guesting. I would prefer to do that for a while. You know, there are people I like. I like the people I’ve recorded with — I can’t tell you who they are! — very much.’
