LED ZEPPELIN’S Jimmy Page has announced his plans to tour next year.
Speaking at the Classic Rock Awards, the guitar veteran and architect behind many of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest ever tracks has declared that he intends to perform live in some way, shape or form throughout the course of 2017.
Clarifying his plans, he stated that:”The next thing for me to do is in some shape or form or vehicle is to be seen to be playing live – that would be next year. I can’t be doing that this year.”
However, it is notable that Page never alluded to whether or not the tour would be in conjunction with his legendary band or whether he’d venture around the globe under his own name.
Hopefully Page will elaborate on the shape which such a tour would take in the near future.
Meanwhile, his former band is currently set to undergo a trial in the US under claims of copyright infringement regarding a mid 60’s band known as Spirit and their seminal ‘Stairway To Heaven’s opening bars.
