ARGUABLY the most anticipated hip hop album of the year, Compton native Kendrick Lamar’s new album has appeared on iTunes and Spotify.
Having announced its release date of 23rd March 2015 out of nowhere following a period of relative dormancy, To Pimp A Butterfly is ‘K-Dot’s’ follow up to the internationally acclaimed Good Kid M.A.A.D City, which is regularly cited as a modern classic within the genre.
Featuring guest appearances from a varied range of artists such as George Clinton, Thundercat and Ron Isley, To Pimp A Butterfly has already gained a number of plaudits for its revolutionary and subversive take upon the genre.
Quelling any suspicion that the album had been subject to a malicious leak, Kendrick Lamar proclaimed that ‘All is well’ via his twitter account.
