kula shaker 2

POPULAR late-90’s psychedelic band Kula Shaker will tour the UK in May, with another Scottish date announced at Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms on 15th May 2016 following their O2 ABC date in February.

Kula Shaker survived in the Britpop era to enjoy commercial success at the end of the nineties, until their disbandment in 1999. Their debut album K went to number one on the UK Albums Chart, where they were known for their incorporation of Indian music elements that bolstered their originality.

The band have reformed fully since 2006 and have released three studio albums since. Their latest album K 2.0 was released in February this year and reached 32 on the chart.

This second round of touring will mostly hit cities that the band never touched on their previous tour, including Holmfirth, Southend-on-Sea and Gloucester. Kula Shaker will also play two nights at London’s Wiltons Music Hall on 17th and 18th May.
