Liverpool Sound City has released the first list of acts that will be performing at this year’s festival. It is now the largest metropolitan music and arts festival in the UK, with hundreds of acts performing over the three days. This year it will take place from the 1st – 3rd May.

The line-up so far includes Irish indie-rockers Kodaline, who recorded a live session with Tenement TV last year. Joining them on the impressive looking bill are the likes of Fuck Buttons, Clean Bandit, Jungle, LSA, Circa Waves, Wolf Alice and many more.

The festival will also include a conference that this year will look at how the music, football and style businesses can learn from each other. Key speakers will include Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, founding member of Velvet Underground John Cale and former CEO of Liverpool FC Rick Parry. More speakers and live acts will be announced next month.

CEO of Liverpool Sound City David Pichilingi is enthusiastic about the calibre of acts and speakers for this year’s festival:

“It’s shaping up to be the best Sound City to date. We have always strived to bring the best to Liverpool and we have definitely delivered this year on both the live and conference side.”

Three-day festival only wristbands are currently available on the Liverpool Sound City website at the early bird price of £44 until Monday 3 February.
