soundcitLIVERPOOL SOUND CITY have extended their deadline for up-and-coming acts to apply to play after netting the ‘Best Festival For Emerging Talent’ award.

Receiving a record number of applicants from across several continents as the event’s worldwide acclaim continues to grow, last night’s triumph at The UK Festival Awards has prompted organisers to give rising talent the chance to gain a slot on the bill up until the 25th January.

Having welcomed artists such as Catfish And The Bottlemen, Grimes, Ed Sheeran, Dan Croll and many more to the event via the apply to play scheme, Sound City’s CEO Dave Pichillingi has said that “Receiving so many applications from this many different nations is really testament to the reputation of Sound City and of Liverpool as a global hub of fresh talent. This city has always been an inspiration and a hotbed of new music and we’re proud to keep the torch held high.”

With the festival celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, bands, solo artists and DJ’s can apply to play via their official site.
