MAJOR LAZER’S ‘Lean On’ (ft. MØ) has surpassed previous record holders and has became the most streamed song on Spotify of all time.
Released during this summer and one of the lead singles from their Peace Is The Mission LP, ‘Lean On’ has amassed a staggering 526 million plays since being uploaded to the streaming service.
Handily beating previous record holder Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’, they find themselves at the top of the heap above artists such as Hozier, Avicii, Clean Bandit and Mark Ronson who all populate the top ten.
With Adele’s ‘Hello’ currently sitting at a staggering 120 million plays despite being released a mere two weeks ago, it’s not unfeasible to see the lead single from her third LP claiming the record in the near future.
