GLASGOW-based artist Miaoux Miaoux has confirmed that he has joined the ranks of Franz Ferdinand and has stated that progress has been made on their forthcoming new album.

Best known for his incredible,  Say Award-nominated breakthrough record School Of Velocity, the multi-talented musician has now confirmed that he has filled the void left by longtime member Nick McCarthy and will now be playing with the band from here on out.

Speaking via his official Facebook account, he proclaimed that he is “Excited to announce I’ve joined the bold Franz Ferdinand as their new synth / keys / guitar player. I’ve also been working on the new album with them, which sounds amazing & I can’t wait for people to hear it.

For those concerned about the fate of his solo career, he has confirmed that “I’ll continue to make music as Miaoux Miaoux, watch this space!”

In addition to the artist lesser known as Julian Corrie, a new Instagram post has divulged that former 1990’s member Dino Bardot is also coming aboard.
