SMITHS legend Morrissey has simultaneously revealed his only UK show of 2016 and his first gig in his resident Manchester for four years.
Announced via the popular fansite True To You, the divisive and controversial figure behind such incredible albums as Meat Is Murder, The Queen Is Dead, You Are The Quarry, Hatful Of Hollow and Viva Hate will return to his native land for a one-off show.
Set to be supported by Irish-born singer/songwriter Damian Dempsey, the show will take place next month on the 20th August at Manchester Arena.
Morrissey; who last released new material in the form of 2014’s World Peace Is None Of Your Business, is known for causing almost fanatical devotion from his fanbase and his shows are regularly beset with attendees running onto the stage to touch him.
Tickets for the upcoming show will be on sale from 9am on Friday 8th July.
