REPORTS have surfaced which indicate that Muse have signed a deal to headline Glastonbury alongside Foo Fighters and Coldplay.
An unnamed source informed The Sun that “Muse are a Glastonbury no-brainer for a headline booking. They know what it takes to put on a huge show and there’s no bigger stage than the Pyramid.Matt and the boys have a huge back catalogue that will be brilliant for a Saturday night set.”
With Emily Eavis proclaming that the festival was retreating to a more ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ line-up after the inclusion of Kanye West as headliner for 2015’s event, the confirmation of both Muse and Foo Fighter’s could be precisely what she referring to.
Dave Grohl’s world famous outfit WERE set to headline last year’s event prior to an onstage mishap that led to the frontman breaking his leg, it was widely speculated that 2016 would see them descend upon the world famous site.
With no official news having emerged thus far, we’ll soon see what this year’s Glastonbury has in store…
