AFTER plenty speculation Muse have confirmed that their new album ‘Drones’ will be released on 8th June.
The LP is co-produced by Muse and Robert John “Mutt” Lange and is set to be twelve tracks long. The band will be sharing a first taste of the album in the form of ‘Psycho’ tomorrow at 6pm, before they debut new single ‘Dead Inside’ on 23rd March.
Speaking about the new record, the band’s frontman Matt Bellamy has said: “To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
The band have also announced a UK tour which kicks off later this week including shows in Glasgow, Belfast and Brighton.
Tracklisting of the album is as follows:
1. Dead Inside
2. [Drill Sergeant]
3. Psycho
4. Mercy
5. Reapers
6. The Handler
7. [JFK]
