A brand new festival called Colourboxx Festival is set to take place in Glasgow next year.

The event will is penned in for Saturday 25th June 2022 and will be held at Bellahouston Park.

The inaugural festival features an eclectic pop-heavy bill that will be headlined by Years & Years. Other big names include Rina Sawayama, Becky Hill and Jodie Harsh alongside local heroes like Joesef, HYYTS, Lucia & The Best Boys, Walt Disco, LVRA and more.

Pop icons will be joined by an array of DJs, cabaret performances and drag acts across several stages with plenty more acts still to be announced.

Olly Alexander said: “I’m very very excited to be headlining Colourboxx. I can’t wait to bring the world of Night Call to Glasgow, every queer fantasy shall come true and all our destinies will be fulfilled.”

Joesef added: “I’m buzzing to play Colourboxx next year; there is always more room for festivals like this, and I’m glad Scotland is actively trying to create a more inclusive space for festival-goers who may usually feel excluded from the typical festival effort.”

Organisers firmly believe that everyone deserves to have the freedom and space to be their authentic selves, and will be operating a zero-tolerance policy towards racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and all forms of discrimination.

General tickets will be available from Friday 5th November at 9am
