CIF-MuKW8AAAd1ZFUNK and disco pioneer Nile Rodgers turned his hand to busking this morning in London. Seemingly not content to end a night of performance at Hyde Park during one of the British Summer Time events, the Chic frontman and legendary producer took to the city’s South Bank armed with only a guitar and a mic.

Oddly enough; it seemed that despite his legendary status within the music industry, not many people recognised him or his signature guitar playing style until he struck up the opening notes of Chic’s ‘Le Freak’.

Performing in honour of the relaunch of the Sky Arts Channel, Rodgers made the relatively miniscule sum of £12.30 from his busking endeavours.

Speaking on twitter, Rodgers stated that “Though I had no voice from screaming during last night’s show, I started to draw a crowd when I sang ‘aw freak out!’
