‘Iron Sky’ is the third single to be taken from Paolo Nutini’s hugely successful third album Cuastic Love. Accompanying the single is a short film, directed by Daniel Wolfe, showing a dystopian wasteland inhabited by pain-riddled people.
There are mentions of drug-induced civility, with the people oppressed by a higher power into meek submission, reminiscent of Aldous Huxley’s famous novel Brave New World.
Wolfe has described the video as a “dystopian vision of the future as imagined by a child in the 80s,” and said he created it after Nutini sent him the track with no explanation as to its meaning.
