peterhookPETER Hook & The Light have announced a Glasgow show performing New Order’s Lowlife, Brotherhood plus an opening set of Joy Division material.

The show will take place on Thursday 24th September at Glasgow’s The Art School venue.

Peter Hook is about to embark on his 5th tour of the United States with his band The Light and will visit 12 new cities that the band have never performed in before. The US tour setlist includes Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures and Closer live, plus an opening set of New Order material.

Joy Division’s frontman Ian Curtis tragically died in 1980. Last month a campaign launched to attempt to rescue his modest terraced house and turn it into a musical memorial. Campaigners had hoped to raise enough money to buy the Macclesfield home of Ian Curtis who lived here with his wife Deborah and their daughter Natalie, until his early death.

The UK tour is set to be another reminder of post-punk’s glory days. Tickets are on sale Friday 20th March 2015 via various outlets including the PCL website.
