PINK Floyd have made history fifty years into their career with their new record. The LP titled The Endless River has just broken the record of the most pre-ordered album of all time on Amazon UK.

The album has beat previous record holders One Direction with Midnight Memories and Robbie Williams’ Swings Both Ways.

The Endless River is Pink Floyd’s first studio outing in two decades and made up mostly of ambient, instrumental tracks from the sessions for the band’s album, The Division Bell, released in 1994. The new record is also a tribute to Rick Wright, who died of cancer in 2008. It also heavily features Wright since he was in the studio for The Division Bell.
