ROCK RADIO GLASGOW are celebrating a monumental victory after winning their bid for a commercial license from governing body Ofcom.
With plans to revive the station gaining momentum in the past year, yesterday saw both its figureheads and its legions of fervent and devoted supporters welcome the news that they would once again be broadcasting.
Awarded the commercial license from the governing body and fending off the advances of several other applicants, they revealed the news to the masses via an impassioned and grateful Facebook post which stated:
“Shit just got real!!Just in case you’ve not heard the news… WE WON!!!!!!!
We’re gonna be back on the airwaves folks, we’ve just won the goddamn license for 96.3FM! 🤘🏻 A huge thanks to everyone that has shown their support for the #bringbackrockradio campaign these past few months! We salute you!!!”
