THE nominations for this year’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame have been announced today.
Featuring an eclectic mix of artists from all manner of genres, the list contains artists that have been nominated various times previously while others have been handpicked in their first year of eligibility.
With the late Tupac Shakur and Pearl Jam falling into the latter camp, other artists that have been proposed include Joan Baez, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Kraftwerk, MC5, Chaka Khan, Jane’s Addiction, Janet Jackson, J Geils Band, Yes, The Zombies and more.
Almost comically, this will be the 11th year that Nile Rodgers’ Chic have been nominated without induction.
