THE ROLLING STONES have announced their first UK tour in five years and it will include date at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield on 9th June.

The rock icons will kick things off in Dublin before heading to London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff and a small spate of European venues.

The exciting news is likely to spread shockwaves amongst fans who were left disappointed last year after the band’s European tour failed to hit the UK due to a lack of available venues. The band last played the UK in 2013 when they headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

Frontman Mick Jagger said: “This part of the No Filter tour is really special for the Stones. We are looking forward to getting back onstage in the summer and playing to fans in the UK and Ireland. It’s always exhilarating going to cities we haven’t played for quite a while and also some new venues for us like Old Trafford and The London Stadium.”

Guitarist Richards added: “It’s such a joy to play with this band. There’s no stopping us, we’re only just getting started really.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 2nd March while presale tickets will be made available to those who sign up to the band’s mailing list. Check out the UK & Ireland dates below.
