SALUTE MUSIC MAKERS have announced an exciting new deal which will aim to improve the careers of those involved in the competition.
Launched last month as a means for Britain’s aspiring artists to get the most out of their original material in a manner that is nigh-on impossible in today’s industry, Salute aim to make money for everyone that submits their music and there is a staggering £50,000 prize for the eventual winner.
In a new development that makes it even more essential to any original artist, this revolutionary platform has now announced details of partnerships with Continental Drifts and Global Local. Two promotion companies that are at the absolute forefront of the UK’s festival industry, this new deal will mean that the top 100 acts that are chosen will be eligible to play at Glastonbury, Bestival, Latitude, Boomtown and many more.
Closely linked with 22 festivals between them, their new affiliation with Salute means that they’ll put those who impress forward for inclusion on these festival’s bills for next year and give vital exposure to aspiring artists.
Among the pioneers behind this venture, The Undertones’ frontman Feargal Sharkey has stated that:
“British music can justifiably claim to conquer the world but that incredible success is built upon one thing, talent. In an age of television static and bewildering musical consumer choice, it is now more important than ever that we give the right, focused support and opportunity to the next generation of great British talent. Salute is set to make that happen.”
The competition is open now and can be applied for via Salute’s official site. The listening phase of the competition is set to begin in the near future so all of those looking to apply should do so now to avoid missing out.
