THE Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMA’s) are this year celebrating their tenth year at Glasgow’s Saint Lukes, today announcing the full lineup and nomination process for 2019’s awards.

Alongside key partners Rebel Rebel Barbers and Creative Scotland, the SAMA’s are set to bring a huge celebration of Scottish music to Glasgow.

With an alumni that includes Be Charlotte, Lewis Capaldi, The Ninth Wave, Fatherson and more, the next wave of emerging acts in Scotland will have their eyes on the 7 award categories. The ceremony will include live performances by psych rockers The Cosmic Dead, hip hop visionary Chlobocop, and Dumfries punks Franky’s Evil Party whilst being hosted by new music champion Jim Gellatly and poet Leyla Josephine. Creative Director, Richy Muirhead said, “There is so much high quality music coming out of Scotland right now, and it’s important we take a moment to celebrate the artists and genres. The nominations list will be inspiring and innovative, and provide a great opportunity for people to discover new music.”

The 7 SAMA’s are:
