THE Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award has launched this year’s campaign for both music industry figures and the public at large to nominate their favourite records.

Held at Paisley Town Hall for the second consecutive year, organisers are urging artists, labels and fans to submit bodies of work that have been crafted by homegrown talent between the 1st April 2016 and the 31st March 2017.

Among the albums that have already been submitted by both music fans and industry figures for inclusion on the longlist are Biffy Clyro’s Elipsis, Amy Macdonald’s Under Stars, Baby Strange’s Want It Need It, Honeyblood’s Babes Never Die, Campfires In Winter’s Ischaemia and many more.

The eventual victor will receive a massive prize of £20,000 whilst runners up will be awarded with £1000.
