SXSW have announced a second wave of showcasing artists for next year’s event.

Featuring a vast array of bands and artists from all over the globe, the 2019 edition will once again boast a strong Scottish contingent with a number of notable local acts set to make the pilgrimage across the Atlantic for the world-renowned festival which takes place in Austin, Texas.

Among the 240+ acts that have been announced to showcase are Tenement Trail alumni and Glasgow favourites Rascalton. The band have toured relentlessly up and down the UK for most of the year after dropping their debut EP C S C.

Joining them will be The Snuts, seemingly on unstoppable rise at the moment following a series of renowned live shows, aswell as the ever-popular Fatherson who recently unveiled their third album The Sum of All Our Parts to critical acclaim.

Other local names include Current Affairs and Kapil Seshasayee who will join a Scottish contingent featuring the LUCIA, The Ninth Wave and The Dunts who were announced earlier this year.

A world-renowned platform for burgeoning musicians and emerging musical talent, SXSW returns to Austin, Texas across the 11th-17th March.
