THE Scottish Album of the Year Awards have announced its return for 2016 and 2017.
Set to be hosted in Paisley Town Hall for the next two consecutive ceremonies, this year’s event will take place on Wednesday 29th June and is sure to be a very close race given all of the stellar releases from eligible Scottish artists.
Won last year by Kathryn Joseph for the awe-inspiring Bones You Have Thrown Me And Blood I’ve Spilled and with previous victors including Young Fathers, RM Hubbert and Bill Wells & Aiden Moffat, The SAY Award has became a coveted prize and one which is sure to aid any Scottish artist’s career if attained.
With the ceremony looming in the near future, organisers are requesting all eligible albums to be nominated on the official website via their form.
Nominating an album is free to do and a record can be put forth by members of the public, ultimately leading to its consideration for the longlist before it is whittled down to the final nominees.
To submit an album please visit their official website.
