THE nominees for this year’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMAs) have officially been unveiled.

The 28 acts were selected by groups of nominators working across music and arts in Scotland using the SAMA Music Criteria.

This year’s winners will be decided a public vote which opens Monday 18 November at 12:00, closing at 17:00 on Wednesday 20 November.

The seven winnners will be revealed exclusively at the main event on Saturday 30 November at St Luke’s. This year’s ceremomy will be hosted by BBC Introducing’s Phoebe Inglis-Holmes, and poet and author Leyla Josephine, with special guests and performances from Parliamo and GASP x Supermann on da Beat.

Nominees this year include the likes of Becky Sikasa, SLIX, Brogeal, Sister Madds,Psweatpants and SOAPBOX. Check out the full list below.
