SHOEGAZE icons Slowdive have announced that they will release their first new album in 22 years on 5th May via Dead Oceans.

News of the self-titled release arrives with a new single and video called ‘Sugar for the Pill’. To celebrate the announcement, the band will  play a surprise show tomorrow evening (Wednesday 29th March) at The Garage in London, the site of their last London show in December 1993. It will be streamed live in its entirety on Facebook.

The famed shoegaze outfit who dissolved following the release of their third album Pygmalion in 1995 announced their long-awaited return back in January with the release of ‘Star Roving’. Last night, they returned to Glasgow for an intimate show at The Art School as part of a short run of European tour dates.
