The Common Guild presents a special visual arts screening of Phil Collins films with a Smiths theme this Sunday in Glasgow.
Both the film ‘the meaning of style’ and ‘dunia tak akan mendengar’ will be screened at the event starting at 19:00, the latter a collaboration between Collins and The Smiths fans in Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia.
Capturing karaoke performances of each track from the eponymous 1987 compilation album, the film portrays the mediation and transformative power of pop music across cultures, languages and geographies.
