Made Of StoneLAST night saw The Stone Roses take to the red carpet for the world premier of the most anticipated band documentary for years.

The premier for the documentary, Made of Stone saw the band suited and booted on the red carpet. Reni was absent, resting before their gig at London’s Finsbury Park next week.

The film, directed by legendary Brit-film director Shane Meadows, follows their celebrated reunion in 2012. Meadows was quoted jokingly saying if someone else made the film of the band’s reunion he would kill himself.

John was the only member to stop on the red carpet. Speaking of new material he said the band are not going to record a whole album. Saying, they will record new material in the same way as their first, going in to the studio when they are ready.

Fans of the Roses got to see the film at an invite only event last night in Glasgow, complete with live links to really build on the excitement. One fan, David Todd who attended the film premier in Glasgow’s Cineworld said: “The film was epic. The live link-up’s really made the evening though. The atmosphere was immense.”

If you want to catch the film, it is released on 5th June showing in cinemas around the UK including Glasgow’s enchanting Ashton Lane haunt, The Grosvenor.
