THE STROKES’ Julian Casablancas previews his new solo album.

Featuring his new backing band The Voidz in the teaser video, the grainy footage gives fans a snippet of Casablancas new solo material.

The clip features a few songs, post-punk and raging punk strong elements.

The album will be released on Casablancas’ own Cult Records and will follow up his 2009 solo effort Phrazes For the Young.

The Strokes released their fifth album, Comedown Machine in 2013 which was included in TTV’s Best Albums of 2013, with Casablancas remaining busy last year appearing on one of the year’s most celebrated album’s by Daft Punk.

Band mate, Albert Hammond Jnr. played a late show at Glasgow’s Broadcast at the end of last year. The 400 capacity show took place after midnight and was unsurprisingly sold-out.
