The Strokes by Roger Woolman

INDIE ROCK ICONS The Strokes look set to release brand new music today..

Having last ventured into the studio to record their 2013 LP Comedown Machine, the news comes after a rejigged Strokes logo was projected on venues in both London and their hometown along with the words ‘Future’, ‘Present’ and ‘Past.’

With speculation that they were set to perform new material at their upcoming Governor’s Ball show fuelled by cryptic comments from Albert Hammond Jr and Nikolai Fraiture, every indication would suggest that the garage rock outfit that defined the early 2000’s will release new music today.

While the reports are as yet unconfirmed, the inclusion of Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records logo would suggest that it must be linked to some form of musical release.
