T in the Park took to social media to relay a positive message to fans about the 2015 event.
The festival will move to a brand new home of Srathallan Castle in 2015 and the planning permission for the new site has been circulating headlines over the last few weeks.
Taking to their Facebook page, Scotland’s largest festival noted that because Osprey are a protected species and there are Osprey on the new site, the festival has to apply for planning permission to hold the festival at Strathallan Castle on a permanent basis. They stated: “This is not new for us – we had to apply for planning permission on an annual basis at our previous home in Balado.”
They continued: “The main thing to tell you however is that we cannot wait to welcome you all – the best audience in the world bar none – to T in the Park at our beautiful new site at Strathallan, for what will surely be the weekend of the year!”
You can read the full statement on the festival’s Facebook page. Tickets for this year’s festival are currently on sale via Ticketmaster.
Headliners Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Libertines and Avicci top the bill with acts including Hozier, The War on Drugs, The View and Courteeners all set to play. Check out the full line-up on the festival website.
