ENTRIES are now open to The Ivors’ 2021 Rising Star Award with Apple Music, to honour young British and Irish songwriters and composers.

The winner will be presented with a dedicated Ivor Novello Award and join a roll call of songwriting greats that includes Adele, Stormzy, Cathy Dennis, Annie Lennox, Sir Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Joan Armatrading. All nominees will receive a year-long mentorship from a well-established Academy member and leaders from Apple Music.

Can you enter?

The Award is open to songwriters & composers aged 18 – 24. Writers must be a Standard Under 25 member of The Ivors Academy and British or Irish, or ordinarily resident in the UK. Anyone can submit an entry including the publisher, manager or the songwriter or composer themselves. The Award is open to all musical genres.

What do you need to submit?

You need to submit 3 original works with accompanying audio files, works registration and song lyrics (if applicable), as well as your biography. You can submit any supporting reviews or endorsements of your songwriting or composing
