TOBIAS JESSO JR has been the subject of a recent mini-documentary that profiles his rise to prominence.
Filmed prior to the release of his widely adored debut album Goon (which received a resounding 9/10 from us upon release),it charts the Canadian’s time in cities such as New York and LA where he undertook the bulk of the songwriting process for the record.
Featuring a great number of live performances from Jesso Jr as he rehearses in order to play late night chat show Conan, it includes airings of his own compositions alongside emphatic cover versions; most notably his take on Ray Charles’ classic ‘Georgia On My Mind.’
Simply put, if you love Tobias Jesso Jr and his signature piano based sound, then you’re sure to feel even more endeared to him after watching this. Recently becoming the face of Saint Laurent’s music project, Tobias Jesso Jr appears to be on the ascent.
