SCOTLAND has been thoroughly represented on this week’s UK album chart with Teenage Fanclub’s Here and Twin Atlantic’s GLA debuting within the top 10.
With the music world bustling with great new releases from artists such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Jack White and even The Beatles with their new Hollywood Bowl live album, the two vastly different but nonetheless pivotal figures in Scotland’s music scene have proven that their foothold in the industry remains entirely secure.
While the Sam McTrusty led alt-rockers netting their second top 10 chart position, Teenage Fanclub’s new record follows Grand Prix and 2003’s Songs From Northern Britain in landing on the upper echelons of the chart.
This week has seen Bastille obtain the top spot with their sophomore affair Wild World.
