DUNDEE’S premier rock ‘n’ roll outfit The View have announced news regarding their new album and a legnthy UK tour.
Having previously teased tracks from their new LP over the course of the last month or so, the band have declared that their forthcoming record Ropewalk will be released on the 11th September 2015 via Cooking Vinyl.
Produced by Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes, the record will be their first full length since 2012’s Cheeky For A Reason.
Coming off the back of a typically impressive showing at T in the Park, the band debuted their latest single ‘Under The Rug’ this very morning on the XFM Breakfast Show.
The track itself is an extremely interesting proposition, with lead singer Kyle Falconer adopting something of a more soothing lilt over an intricate riff that could’ve been plucked from Lindsey Buckingham’s brain. Sounding more refined than on previous output, this new approach could usher in a productive new era for the band.
