VIOLA BEACH are set to enter the top 10 of the UK singles chart.
With the rock ‘n’ roll community banding together to get the band’s ‘Swings & Waterslides’ to the top of the charts in the wake of their tragic death, the track has gained over 30 places since Monday’s chart update and looks primed to rise as the week progresses.
Bands such as The Stone Roses, Kasabian and Oasis’s frontman Liam Gallagher have showed their support for the campaign, urging fans to throw their support behind the group to pay tribute to the promising young group.
In a very honourable move, the band’s label Communion has declared that the proceeds from the single will go directly to the band’s families.
With the cut off point for this week’s chart set for Thursday, the band’s final position will be revealed this Friday on BBC Radio 1.
