GIVEN a mutually shared penchant for perfectionism, innovative ideas and an inherently guarded nature, it’s easy to draw parallels between Stanley Kubrick and Tame Impala’s misfit musical genius Kevin Parker.
Now, Youtube user Senoirchang has taken it upon himself to amalgamate the two by cutting the closing section of the late director’s revolutionary space opus ‘2001: A Space Odyssey with the band’s ‘Eventually’ from last year’s incredible Currents.
Marrying both the music and the visuals with the modern-day accompaniment that they deserve, the result its dazzlingly psychedelic and makes you wonder what could’ve been if the two had been contemporaries or what may lie ahead for Kevin Parker in the future as he continues to become the most creatively inspiring figure of our generation.
