COMMEMORATING
50 years since the release of their landmark Pet Sounds albumnew footage has emerged of the remaining members of The Beach Boys performing album standout ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice.’

Filmed at Los Angeles’ Capitol Studios, the classic duo of the record’s architect Brian Wilson and fellow mainstay Al Jardine (with Jardine’s son Matt also assisting with his trademark falsetto vocals) spoke about the track’s less than harmonious origins before turning in a rendition which captures the magic that radiates from the original.

One of the most famous songs of the gloriously experimental days of the 60’s, Wilson spoke of the process of putting the album together by stating that “I was going for something I wanted to hear and wanted to feel. A feeling of joy, a great feeling of great joy.”
