Later… With Jools Holland’s live show kicked off last night with big performances from the likes of Blur and Laura Marling.
Now in its 46th season, Blur performed new tracks from their forthcoming record ‘The Magic Whip’. They gave first airings to ‘I Broadcast’ and ‘Ong Ong’ – watch both performances below.
Laura Marling also appeared on the show to perform ‘Strange’ from her latest album Short Movie, while The Vaccines played their ‘Handsome’ single from forthcoming LP English Graffiti and new song ’20/20’.
Natalie Prass made a debut on the show playing her track ‘Bird of Prey’. There was also Transgressive-signed group Songhoy Blues, who played ‘Soubour’ from their debut album. Davina And The Vagabonds completed the line-up, playing ‘Sunshine’. An extended edition of Later… will air on Friday 17th April on BBC Two.
