LAST night’s Later… With Jools Holland was certainly a star-studded affair, featuring performances from American rock royalty Kings Of Leon, Jack White and more.
With Kings Of Leon currently in the midst of promoting their upcoming new album Walls, the band dropped by the popular musical variety show to deliver stonking versions of new tracks ‘Waste A Moment’ and ‘Around The World.’
Elsewhere, the ever innovative Jack White performed a touching acoustic version of The White Stripes’ classic ‘We Are Going To Be Friends’ from his newly unveiled Acoustic Recordings compilation.
Returning to the realm of popular music after various dalliances with classical and off-kilter sounds, Sting treated the studio audience to the first taste of his new record with a track entitled ‘Can’t Stop Thinking About You.’
Rounded off by performances from Kandace Springs; an artist who’d found herself being mentored by the late Prince prior to his death, Los Angeles based vocalist Banks and French electronic oufit M83, it’s one of the finest season premieres that Jools has provided in many years.
