WICKERMAN Festival is hailed as intimate and endearing, and with the recent sunshine across Scotland, the excitement for the approaching festival is mounting.

With its idyllic location, strong line-up and a team working overtime behind the scenes to ensure that 2013 is the best ever yet, Wickerman Festival is sure to be monumental.

Tenement TV will once again be behind the scenes recording acoustic sessions on location giving you a chance to see your favourite acts up-close-and-personal. Last year saw us record a celebrated session with the very successful Jake Bugg and Scottish acts Kassidy and Bwani Junction amongst others.

This year, the line-up is bursting at the seams with talent. Icons, Primal Scream will headline on Friday night and indie-heroes The Enemy will also be making an appearance over the two day event.

The Festival’s Summerisle line-up will be further enhanced by legendary act Chic featuring Nile Rodgers. The disco giants will perform classics such as Good Times and Le Freak alongside new material.

Scottish star Amy MacDonald will deliver her first Wickerman performance on the Saturday performing tracks from her three critically acclaimed albums.

Public Service Broadcasting have been creating a buzz wherever they go since bursting onto the scene this year. Their sets at Glasgow’s 02 ABC and Glastonbury receiving raving reviews.

At the end of 2012 Holy Esque went on their biggest tour across Europe with The Raveonettes where they continued to impress crowds with their intense live shows. The band’s slot on the Main Stage could be a true highlight, with a great live show perfected, the band are not to be missed this weekend.

This year’s hugely popular punk & ska driven Scooter Tent will be bigger and better than ever, hosting legends Stiff Little Fingers, The Rezillos, Anti-Nowhere League and more. Dave Clarke, Kissy Sell Out, Elite Force and Justin Robertson will top the bill at dance village, Bass Camp – which promises the best in house, electro and progressive beats, pumping out until 5am.

Wickerman prides itself on championing new Scottish talent and this year will be no exception as the Solus and goNorth Tents will present some of the best up-and-coming acts.  New wave rock band Vukovi and electro trio Roman Nose will lead the Solus Tent bill.  They will be joined by Vigo Thieves, Flutes and Fat Goth, as well as others. Three Blind Wolves, Prides and Hector Bizerk are just some of the exciting new acts on goNorth’s line-up.

This year’s Acoustic Village will feature some show stopping performances from Pete Roe, Colin Macleod and Tommy Reilly amongst others and Explosion Soundsystem will host the festival’s much loved Reggae Tent. The Greenman Inn will get campers into the festival swing early on Thursday night with popular ceilidh band Rhythmnreel, country act Jericho and DJ Jason Dupuy.

A vibrant art and entertainment bill will run through the weekend, including comedy, spoken word, a fun fair, fire walking, music and dance workshops, grass sledging and segway hire.  The Festival will also once again come to a spectacular climax on Saturday with the legendary lighting of the Wickerman.
