THE Wickerman Festival has announced the line-up for its renowned Solus tent, as well as a new partnership with the UK’s leading alternative radio station XFM.
Hailed as a mecca for burgeoning bands throughout the country, Wickerman’s Solus tent will play host to a wide variety of acts including Glasgow’s own Tuff Love, Wide Days showcased artist C Duncan and Tommy Reilly.
As well as playing host to a number of hotly tipped artists from all manner of genres, the stage will be closed by heralded DJ duo Optimo following the burning of the festival’s iconic wickerman.
With XFM taking a keen interest in the Scotland’s newest acts, the partnership will see two champions of upcoming talent coincide to provide an important platform for up and coming artists.
XFM’s Jim Gellatly has said of the merger ‘The Solus tent has always been my first port of call at Wickerman, so it’s brilliant that XFM are involved this year. My passion is for emerging Scottish talent and the Solus tent present’s some of the country’s most exciting new talent.
