HAVING announced its much anticipated return last week, Edinburgh’s Wide Days has announced its first four showcase acts.
After the resounding success of previous events which helped to boost the profile of widely regarded bands such as Honeyblood, Paws and Withered Hand, the four acts that have been selected thus far are as follows; multi instrumentalist C Duncan, bluesy rock outfit Tijuana Bibles, alt rockers Ded Rabbit and songstress Kathryn Joseph.
Whilst the more composed C Duncan and Kathryn Joseph will grace the stage at the city’s Pleasance Theatre, both guitar oriented bands will perform at the Electric Circus.
With both events set to take place on the 10th April 2015, those who have attained a pass for the conference will be able to access the gigs for free, although members of the public who wish to see a particular band can register for a free ticket here and here.
With two more artists still awaiting their formal announcement, expect news to emerge in the coming weeks.
