NOT only extremely consistent but regularly innovative within his solo vehicle, Albert Hammond Jr prompted a great deal of excitement following the announcement of his first full length record on his lonesome since 2008. Fresh off the back of performing the track at this weekend’s Primavera Sound, the New York native has released the phenomenal ‘Losing Touch.’
Continuing in the same dense and angular post punk direction that had been aired on previously released track ‘Born Slippy’, The track is built around propulsive drumming, delightfully meandering guitar lines and a massive chorus the likes of which is usually the territory of stadium rock bands. Touching upon the sound of bands such as Wire and Magazine, Hammond Jr has allowed his fans another candid look at the kind of excellent music that can be expected from his forthcoming solo outing.
Albert Hammond Jr’s third solo record Momentary Masters is set for release on the 31st July 2015 via Infectious Music.
